Be Authentic, If Not For You, For God Sake

By Audrey Being remarkable is to be and act in a way that it’s worth people to talk about, to make a remark about. Being the same as everyone else, copying others, might get some people’s attention for a while but just for a while, it won’t last. Being authentic is misunderstood. Being authentic doesn’t mean a magical truth about who you are deep down, because deep down if we strip away our culture, we would spend all day naked, hunting and pooping in the jungle, that is who we are authentically. Everything else is just a story that we put on, a show to get people to like us and trust us. You probably wore clothes today even though you didn’t necessarily want to or you went to work and took your kids to school even if you didn’t feel like it. So for me, after a bit of research came to realize that, what authentic means is being consistent, what it means is even if you are not in the room am I acting the way I say I act, even if I don’t think you are listening, I am talking

Embracing Your Ignorance

By: Audrey You can’t be on top of everything. None of us are. So, what will you do about it? What will you do about the areas where you don’t make the commitment and take the time or practice patience to reach your goals and be exceptional? One approach is to never talk about it and ignore it.  Do the work poorly, but pretend you don’t. Another approach is to talk about it and deal with it. Make the effort to find resources you can use to solve your issues. Find a source that will challenge you to do better. Find new and better ways to improve… It’s hard to imagine that avoidance of the issue is going to make things better.

24 hour cancellation policy? NOT WORKING!

Image
By Audrey I am sharing this and tried it all. No results yet. It's fascinating that people just book an appointment and not bother to even cancel 24 hours ahead or ever! Common courtesy. Right? I understand emergencies happen but unless we are totally unconscious we can type "sorry can't make it". You kind of assume at this day and age with all the advanced technology and fast communication choices, it probably takes 10 seconds to cancel.  I even give everyone my cell # and confirm texting 3 times and still get No Shows! Is there any way to educate the public that "No Show" appointment is disrespectful and hurt businesses? Any suggestions? Please share this so maybe we can come up with a solution one day. Why not? One person at a time. https://www.solutionreach.com/blog/10-truly-awesome-ways-to-reduce-no-shows?fbclid=IwAR35d-0w99ROUb3qpAFhY_5zhWmW5d54x6vOBawsuDNEhfRbISe1_zS2y9s

Stress and Acne

Stress and Acne By Mari Bozozo I’ll never forget that day that I was in the checkout line at a local discount retailer over a decade ago. The cashier, although seemingly pleasant, fell very short where boundaries and proper etiquette were concerned. Why do I say that you ask? As I loaded my items onto the counter, he pointed to his face and uttered, “You’re breaking out.” Like the thought never crossed my mind. Like I didn’t obsess over my appearance for umpteen times during a given day. Like I needed a total stranger to point out the all too obvious to me, in front of other strangers, to boot! Aside from feeling grossly offended, appalled, mortified, and ashamed, I was flabbergasted to think that some random person, a professional at that, would have the proverbial balls to say that to me. While I can’t recall what my exact rebuttal was (honestly, what could I rebut, as the evidence was literally all over my jawline) I knew that I’d hit an all-time new low. And stress was unequivoca

Acne Free - Guided Meditation 30 Days Challenge

Acne Free - Guided Meditation 30 days Challenge The best way to start a meditation session is to sit on your favorite, chair or sofa, close your eyes, disconnect from the world and start with deep breathing and focusing on your breath. Slowly count 4 inhale and 4 exhale and keep repeating until you are completely relaxed. Proper deep breathing can substantially increase oxygen flow to your entire body and the cells. Most of us don’t breathe as deeply as we should, so 20 to 30 minutes of deep abdomen breathing every day can add a significant amount of oxygen to your entire body and of course a boost to your soul. According to some Chinese Medicine Theory, the lung Controls skin, sweat glands, and body hair. T hat is partially where skin problems/acne starts. Skin pores, and hair follicles. Clearing out your lungs with a few deep breaths can improve imbalances in your body right away and give your skin some improvements gradually. Also, the combination of breath and meditation has b
